About

LIFE

My name is Trent. I am married to my high school sweetheart and have been for 11 years. We have 4 kids and a golden retriever.

SALVATION

I have been in church since I was 3 days old. I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior at the age of 8. I dedicated my life to God’s service at the age of 15. I am a broken person who is only saved by the grace of God. Each day I’m alive is another opportunity to work on sanctification.

WHAT I DO

I work full-time at a ministry in Colorado Springs as the Social Media Manager. I eat, drink and sleep Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I am also the Associate Pastor of Freedom Church.

In October of 2020, I graduated from Grand Canyon Theological Seminary (Go Lopes!) with my Master’s of Divinity with an emphasis in Worship Leadership. It was a long and hard process, but I’m glad to be done and gain some of my time back. No official plans yet to start a Doctorate degree, it is a dream for the future… don’t tell my wife!

In my spare time, you can find me with my wife and three children in the mountains wheeling in the Jeep.

THE BLOG

My blog intends to share my thoughts with you. Most of my posts will be my lessons that are taught to my youth group on Sunday mornings. Growing up, I always heard this… “You never know what the person sitting next you is going through.” Hopefully, what is found on here will be useful for someone, somewhere.

I AM NOT PERFECT. I DO NOT KNOW ALL THE ANSWERS. Take what I say with a grain of salt and double-check everything I write and say. BE A GOOD BEREAN! Let’s have a respectful conversation and let’s grow closer to God together.

Currently reading

I’m re-reading a book by Tom Kraeuter called “Worship is… What?: Rethinking Our Ideas About Worship” and it’s a good one!

Worship understood and practiced from a scriptural point of view will affect the entire life of a believer as well as those they encounter. Worship understood and practiced by a church will affect the entire community. With preconceived ideas and cultural familiarity set aside, Tom Kraeuter invites his readers to experience and enjoy the breadth and essence of Biblical worship.
